Here are a few common reasons to consider changing your Medicare Coverage during Open Enrollment...
1. YOU’VE BEEN PRESCRIBED A NEW & EXPENSIVE PRESCRIPTION DRUG
If this applies to you, please email a list of your prescription medications to me – not just the new medication, but ALL your medications! See “NOTE” below.
2. YOU HAVE A MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN (HMO) AND WANT TO CHANGE TO A MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT (PPO)
If this applies to you, please email a list of your prescription medications to me. See “NOTE” below.
3. YOU HAVE A MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT (PPO) AND WANT TO CHANGE TO A MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN (HMO)
If this applies to you, please email your primary physician’s full name and city or zip code. You would probably only consider this change if you need to save money since Medicare Advantage Plans cost $0.
4. THE COST OF YOUR MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT HAS INCREASED DRAMATICALLY AND YOU WANT TO CHECK FOR A BETTER PRICE
If this applies to you, please email or text a picture of your ID card and the amount you are currently paying for your plan.
5. YOU HAVE ANOTHER SITUATION NOT MENTIONED HERE
If this applies to you, please send an email with as much info as you care to give so I can do some homework and get back to you.
NOTE: If you are sending a list of your prescription medications, please include the entire name of each medication as shown on your prescription bottle including any letters like ER or SR that appear after the name. If it’s a generic, give me the generic name. I also need the dose and how many you take per month. If you take “as needed” give me an estimate of how many you take per month.

I’m traveling on the East Coast and expect to return the 1st week of November. Let’s talk then.
Yes I believe that I would like to change to a PPO plan. The approval process for the hmo I have was really a pain
Hi Neil,
Josh did not use his insurance much this year. A few things came up:
1) there is no local Urgent Care – Walk-ins with his policy. I would have wanted the Hoag walk-in covered.
2) We did not use his primary, Howard Fishbein. If there was a policy with Steven Long that would be good.
Josh did qualify for Medi-Medi. Otherwise the policy was fine. Could we see if there is better coverage for these two issues.
Hi Neil, can you take a look at my insurance and let me know if you suggest any improvements. Thank you
Hi Neil. I love my plan and my doctors.
Prescriptions are doable.
I do have a couple of friends that are 63. I will tell them about you for sure
You are wonderful. Thank you
Im not re-writing the entire comment. We need to make an appointment to talk please.
Hi Neil, Thanks for the message – very helpful. I turn 70 on December 29th, and don’t foresee any changes to my health. I have been happy with my Sutter Alignment Advantage HMO plan. They recently sent a large packet with the changes to the plan in 2022. If you think this might change my coverage significantly, your thoughts and input would be helpful.
Thanks, Thayer
I think it is time for a general review of my situation and coverage.
